Months have passed since Haiti’s devastating earthquake, but many of
its citizens are still in need of medical supplies. This gave Hood
Research Founder, Theo Broughton an idea to help. She recalls when her
husband had hip replacement surgery years ago. “He had to use crutches and
a cane to recover. They are still in good condition. I want to send them
to Haiti to help ease the suffering there and I invite others to do the
Hood Research Co-Founder, Reggie Crawford explains, “It’s important for
Haiti to stay in the minds and hearts of Americans.”
People can drop off medical supplies and prosthetics at the Wayne
County Community College District North West Campus from 8:00am – 9:00pm
(Monday – Friday) or the Barton-McFarlane Neighborhood Association 10:00am
– 3:00pm (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.) The drive is from
April 1st – May 1st.
